How To Uninstall a Password Protected Program on Windows XP

Microsoft Windows has provided computer users young and old, near and far, male and female, whoever they may be, a lot of safety and convenience. The concept of a password was long invented before even Microsoft Windows was even a concept but Windows was able to update password. These pass codes or passwords are used in the olden times to conceal things and that still applies in Microsoft Windows. Passwords defend your files from being accessed by people who have no business in reading, manipulating, and or even copying your computer documents.

Passwords can be so effective in defending your files, even when you forget your password; the real owner can be shut out of the files. That means no one can access, rewrite, or re-edit your computer file. Do not fear though for there are ways for the real file owner to get pass this hassle of forgotten passwords. Here are some tips on how to uninstall a password protected program on Windows XP.

* Why Are You Doing This? The security of passwords in Windows XP is so strong. It is that potent that the slightest mishap of the owner and user of the computer can lead to files and programs form being shut and unused until further expert technical notice. The uninstalling of the password protected program on Windows XP is a special feature that will help you remove programs that you do not want even if it has a password.
* My Computer. To be able to uninstall the password protected program on your Windows XP, you must know where to go and find the uninstall feature. Your destination is the My Computer location of your Windows XP. All you have to do is open My Computer. This is the icon found on your computer’s desktop. Another way to get to the My Computer portion is by clicking open the Start option in the menu. This is usually found on the left most bottom of your computer’s screen.
* The Control Panel. Now, that you are inside the My Computer option, you must look for the Control Panel. This option comes up every time you toggle the My Computer. In the Control Panel, you should look at the option Add or Delete Programs. You must then double-click it. This double-clicked action will then cause a window to pop-up. The programs that are installed in your computer will appear. Allow the icons to be completed and to settle. Go over the icons in the window that has just popped up and displayed the icons of the programs installed in your computer. Look for the password shielded programs that you want to uninstall.
* The Actual Removal. Now, all you have to do is select the icon you want to remove. Left-click on it once. A list of options will appear. Simply choose the option “Change/Remove”. Once you have chosen this option, the computer will ask you if you want to remove the program. If you are decided click the “Yes” option.
The password feature is a great tool in protecting items in your computer. But it should not be a hindrance in how you see fit to use your computer or your laptop.
